Financial Flying

* What is an Ownership Mindset?
* Measuring Results through Core Statements:
* Balance Sheet
* Income Statement (PROFIT statement)
*Statement of Cash Flows
*State of the Nation (Global Economy)
*How they work together to “measure” the business in financial terms.
* Mock Business Competition:  Winner Maximizes Profits, with integrity!

With knowledge gained in the session, the fun begins as groups form “mock” companies, assigning roles (President, CFO, Sales, Marketing, Operations etc.), and competing to WIN against the other companies “in the marketplace” of our training session.  Winning is defined as Maximizing Profits, while operating with integrity of course!

Now more than ever, with the uncertain economic times we are facing, this kind of training is crucial!  The focus on the bottom-line has NEVER been more important to this generation of workers than it is right now!  To be competitive in the global economy everyone in your business has to be thinking “how can I help improve the bottom-line?” Wouldn’t it be great if every team member could develop an “ownership mindset”?

An “ownership mindset” is one focused on improving the bottom-line.  This starts with a foundational understanding of what makes up the bottom-line, and how the workings of the business are captured, and monitored through the three core financial statements: Balance Sheet, Income Statement and Statement of Cash Flows.  Understanding the inner-workings of our measurement system (these three financial statements), individuals can have more control over how they impact the “measurement system” and how they can improve the most important financial measurement, PROFIT: the bottom-line.

This fun, dynamic session will see people walking away with a deeper sense of understanding of the fundamentals of any business, and more importantly, if they were the owner, how they might go about improving the bottom-line.  The session can be customized for your industry/business if desired to make the discussions more relevant back on the job.

Through a combination of group discussion, role play, team work and competition, everyone will have an opportunity to play a key role in their “mock” business, competing against other companies in the “marketplace” and working towards the ultimate goal of any organization, maximizing profitability or shareholder return on investment.
