CorpEx Salon

So what exactly is a ‘Salon’, you ask? And why would Corporate Explorer Training be hosting them?

Historically, the word Salon appeared in 1664 in France. It is derived from the Italian word salone, the large reception hall of a mansion. Here is a definition from Wikipedia: Salon Definition.

At Corporate Explorer Training Salon is a congregation of people who gather to socialize and interact with the intention of creating an elevated and eclectic discourse. Basically, the CorpEx Salon is an opportunity to hear from some interesting people and share ideas of your own while you are networking. Typically, there is a featured topic or speaker, who will take the floor and present. The speaker might be talking about some unique experience or a particular expertise. This will be a highlight of the Salon.

There will also be some artistic element, which might involve music, dance performance, a reading or even singing. This provides a balance to the evening for both right and left brained types. Initially, CorpEx Salons will be offered in Vancouver. In the future this might be expanded to include other geographic regions.
